About Us

Hunter Homes and Shelters manufactures affordable, easy to build, transportable, durable and energy efficient housing so that individuals have safe and comfortable homes for emergency or long-term shelter.

Hunter Homes and Shelters was founded in 2010 by Jack Hunter. The homes and shelters were originally designed and deployed in Haiti for post-earthquake relief. They have come a long way since then and can now be configured and customized for many applications besides temporary emergency housing. The shelters may be used for schoolhouses, disease treatment centers, other medical facilities or for recreational use. Hunter Homes and Shelters are also ideal for off-grid locations due to the strength, durability and energy efficiency materials used.

Durability, safety and sustainability are at the they heart of every structure. Hunter Homes and Shelters are constructed with structurally insulated panels (SIP) filled with 1.5 inches of two-pound density closed cell foam (the same material used in refrigerators and coolers). These panels are coated with 30 mills of polyurea, making the inside and outside of the shelter easily sanitized. They can withstand the harshest of chemicals and antibacterial products including bleach and steam. They are resistant to inclement weather, blunt force, insects, vermin and mold. The buildings are also reusable. Further, if one is no longer needed and removed, no evidence of its existence is left behind.

Hunter Homes and Shelters are proudly made in USA. All materials and components are sourced from proven, trusted suppliers. This helps ensure that Hunter delivers the highest quality products that are engineered and built to last
